How we work

Helping you to seize opportunities and ensure all functions can meet extra demand.

Sarah Hillman will show you tried and tested management tools that you can use yourselves, to identify opportunities and to help you shape your offering and marketing messages so that they attract your target customers.

Typically when your business starts to grow, the bit that you are best at grows fastest. Other functions struggle to keep up, so you need to consider how boost any areas that are lagging behind. Otherwise your business will become like a wobbly table with four uneven legs – and customers will feel insecure or irritated, or both.

wobbly-table
“Firms need to ensure that their ability to provide effective customer service keeps pace with their growth. If you’re marketing your firm to new customers, you better be able to provide them service when they do business with you.”
Arthur Levitt, Former Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Sarah will help you to bounce ideas around, model and consider options, test assumptions and evaluate risks. She will help you to focus on the few key things that matter and will encourage and motivate you to overcome the inevitable obstacles.  She will help you to get all functions working well so that the whole business performs profitably.

The first meeting, to understand your market and business, is free for those in the area covered and then Sarah will suggest sessions to deal with the most pressing issues – as many or as few meetings as you want. She will also do desk research and other preparation and follow-up work to ensure that you maintain momentum. And if you need specialist help, Sarah can refer you to local firms who have done good work for other small businesses.
